Dr. Shelie Miller was one of 85 recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. President Obama said. "I am confident that these individuals, who have shown such tremendous promise so early in their careers, will go on to make breakthroughs and discoveries that will continue to move our nation forward in the years ahead.”

This is the last CSS Research Forum for the Fall semester. We'll hear two presentations: Liang Tsai on offshore wind and Dan Cox on wind turbine lubricants.

Whether you are brand new to the Center or a CSS veteran, you are strongly encouraged to come join us and hear about the work other researchers are doing. As if that's not enticing enough, we'll also have pie!Also, feel free to invite other interested individuals, particularly any first year students possibly interested in getting involved in research at CSS.
